Hush

We are into our third week of celebrating the Queens Diamond Jubilee and this case file oozed regalness.  I know, that's probably not a word but.. for once I'm at a loss for words.
The subjects of this layout are two young ladies from our recent production of Oklahoma.  Amber and Madison had "dual" rolls, since we are a small school so they had some quick change costume swaps.  Amber was always ready and quick to assist her fellow cast-mates, often putting their needs before her own. This is a young lady who impressed me with her efficientness and calm collected approach to many chaotic moments. Madison was "wowing" us with her ability to fall effortlessly into her roll.  She WAS Gerty and this was a personality so far from her own, that I was awe struck.
This photo was provided courtesy of my MIL, Anne Wharton.  She and FIL came down for the weekend to support Erin & Taylor and their roles in the play.  Anne was kind enough to share the many photo's she took during the performance and behind the scenes.  She caught Amber and Madison here after they finished their make-up and let them "play" in front of the camera.

This weeks evidence needed to include three or more of the following:

Jewels:  I used rhinestone accents above one of my photo tiles and there were rhinestones in my silver chipboard boarder, there are also rhinestones in the flowers.
Silver accents:  metal embellishments by Creative Imaginations and the silver chipboard border
Sparkly things:  I used glitter on my title, sparkly dew drops, silver Stickles
Add shimmer:  I used Glimmer mist on my boarder and the torn paper strips and twinkling H2O's on the crown frames, and on the clover.
Crown Accent: is the silver metal embellishment by Creative Imaginations
Use gesso or white wash paper:  I used gesso on MME Meadow Lark to create a dark grey.  I also used white TH Distress stain on my MME  Follow Your Heart "Be Happy" to tone down the pink, and on another piece of MME Asparagus, to obscure some green.
Circles:  I punched circles from this weeks CSI Cordinations, and used the circle crown frame element as well.

The only thing I didn't use was the red paint

I didn't get to finish my journaling in time for the reveal, so I will go back and add some hidden journaling, probably the story I shared above and some personal notes.  But the word "Charm" certainly provided inspiration for the direction and feel of this.  For my layout inspiration, I went to Creative Scrappers and used their sketch, created by Juliana Michaels, #212

Well, there you have it.  I hope you like it and thank you for stopping by to view my work.  Please feel free to share and comment, I do enjoy reading your comments.
