April 8th - 14th is National Library Week, so how did we celebrate at CSI?? With AWESOME colors inspired from one of my all time favorite books "Where the Wild Things Are". If you've never picked up this book and enjoyed for your self or shared with your children... GO to your library and GET a copy.
For this weeks Case File, I used the following evidence:
Monsters: The pictures of my choir kids and son. Back in November 2010 the Show Choir did a performance of Micheal Jackson's "Thriller". The kids zombified themselves. I just went crazy with the photo editing.
Metal: I used my fabulous metal tape again, running it thru my big shot with a Sizzix edge die. I then also colored it using a combination of Stazon & Copic markers.
Moon: I printed a page from Michele Singh's fabulous custom CSI Digital Coordinates!
Stacking/Layers: I stacked and layerd my papers in various ways.. stacking pattern papers in squares, layers my transparency w/ my banners & photo's. Layering my metal edge on top of my pattered frame paper.
Transparent: I used a Colorbok 5x7 transparency frame w/ bird silhouettes. The bird cage stickers by Jolee's is also another transparency element.
Create a frame around my page: I used pp with a frame pre-printed on it by G.C.D Studios' Paris Nights collection.
My journaling was inspired by the prompt and idea to do what's called "Monster poem". I used musical terms in my "poem" but I think I got carried away and well this is the result. LOL
Under each photo, I shared some of the lyrics from "Thriller" and identified the kids.
Also, this weeks inspiration words where huge motivators and great inspiration. While I didn't use them directly in my journaling or titles, they spurred me creatively. Hope you enjoy, thanks for stopping by.
Later my "shopping" list will be available in my gallery over at Scrapbook.com for your shopping needs!
