Country Girl

It's week three here over at CSI and it's been a CRAZY busy one!  We have guest designers, we have special investigators and a whole new case file for you to play with!! So let's get this party started shall we??
Part of of this weeks Casefile 55 is to scraplift a layout or technique from Casefile 1.   So I "lifted" from Alumni member Jenny Evans and her layout titled Goofball Brothers

This weeks evidence included the following:
Diamond shapes:  Mine are very subtle.  On my "journal/word" tags, I distressed and then stamped a diamond image onto the words using clear Versa Mark.  I then used clear embossing powder.  After that I rubbed Distress Inks "Tumbled Glass and Shabby Shutters onto the tags, wiping the ink from the embossing.
Circles:  My circle is the large base circle underneath the papers.
Stitching or faux stitching: I just ran my layout thru my sewing machine for the scalloped boarders.  Once horizontally and twice on the ends vertically.
Scallops:  I took pp by Teresa Collins, Now and Then Newsprint and punched it with my large scalloped punch.  I also took pp by Pink Paislee Butterfly Garden line (Dragonflies) and punched with another scalloped punch.  Then I layered them with a piece of rick rac felt ribbon.
I also scallop punched the bottom of the vertical strip, which is another pp by Pink Paislee London Market line.  (Yes, I really like Pink Paislee)

My Testimony is VERY simple.  I used the prompt" Write 6 interesting things about your topic".  I chose to use one word descriptions to comply with the layout I lifted.

The rest of my layout is very simple.  I used Tim Holtz tissue tapes, an ANCIENT cream rub-on by Me & My Big Ideas, my mini staplers by TIM HOLTZ, a dress form die by Dusty Attic and some random bits and pieces.

I had to share larger close up shots of my dd.  Last year, she and ds where in the musical production of Oklahoma at their school.  Erin was in the chorus, but she did a great job and stuck to her "guns".  She had a cute little bob but for the play we bought her a faux pony tail clip.  She LOVED it!  I took the picture that I took and the picture her grandmother Nana Anna took and did some editing to give them the old fashion feel.  I so love these pictures!

Well that's all for now.  It's gonna be crazy for a couple of months.  Erin is preparing for Band and Choir competition in the upcoming months! Take Care and have a great day!

I LOVE these photos too! Nice job on the layout! It still amazes me how you think to use all those techniques and stuff. I like the one word strips. Very cool. Great layout.

Hi Shaunery
I've clicked through from CSI to let you know I've scraplifted from your Case File #1 - Chaos and on the details on CSI I say why. I love all your LO's & I hope you like my interpretation.
