Santa Keys

Three different keys, three different stages of creativity, three different styles. I'm playing and preparing for the requests/sales of my Santa Keys. I started doing these several years back. Top left is my first attempt at these, it's a little rough and now that I've made several since, I know what NOT to do. Top right was an experiment of mediums, learned that modge podge and heat embossing don't like each other too well. I normally like to dip the edges into an embossing powder and give a finish to the piece. Bottom, is just out of my comfort zone, but there are all of these "new & different" Christmas styles and themes out there. Thought I'd give it whirl and while I don't hate it... I don't love it. Ideas are already zooming and zipping thru my mind on how to improve each one. And frankly when I know I'm making one of these "for real" and that it will be on display...they're MUCH better. And there's more sparkle too.
Anyway, I'm making a list and taking orders so to speak. They're $8.00, $10.00 and $12.00 depending on the key size. The smaller key only comes in silver, the other two only in the copper/brass finish. I do have some very heavy, chunky iron keys available (not many, they're hard to find) and I'll sell those for $15.00 each. The tags are sealed so they could be hung just outside the front door, but they could be left on the table, hung in the Christmas tree, one family loops it on their door knocker....

I started your family key yesterday. As expected, it's much better than what's shown...
