GOD BLESS AMERICA

It's Independence DAY! For the fourth year running, our family went to Granbury, TX for it's annual 4th of July Parade. I love this day, I love the feeling of our people and the pride that radiates from our citizens. Sadly, it shines the brightest on this day and not everyday for some. Usually when the parade starts the color guard is first to march down and our National Anthem is played. This year for some reason, it didn't. But then out of the blue, our National Anthem started, with no one to prompt him, Taylor took off his hat, stood to attention and honored our flag. People around him took notice and soon everyone was up and at attention!! How cool is that? After we wandered around the square and looked at the "junk booths" as a friends husband calls them. I bought a hummingbird feeder, Erin bought some jewelry and Sarah got a cowboy hat. Later Taylor found a RedWings candle for his father.
That evening we went to a friends to barbeque and blow up fireworks. Turned out that the Follow the Flag stuff was moved and I didn't feel like dealing w/ the crowds. Sarah had a very good time and I think the children (big and little) all enjoyed the fireworks.

Love the pictures of the Navy girls and the one with you and all your babies. What a great scrapbook page. And if you did the scrap swap this month, I made the perfect page for you to put them on.
