Dream Vacation

I feel like I've been gone for ages again.  It's only been two weeks.   But it is summer time and with kids at home, I don't get to play "full time" like I want to.

We have a new sponsor this month over at CSI: Color, Stories, Inspiration.  A BIG shout out goes to:
Peace, Love & Scrapbooking a monthly scrapbook kit club.  Without the same commitments as most kit clubs!!  How cool is that?  Our members have an opportunity to be entered to win one of their monthly kits.  Here's the COOL thing, the winner gets to CHOSE the kit!!
Okay lets get to it, shall we?  This week over at CSI, Debbie found us the most beachy, vacation inspiring, colors to get us in the mood to scrap.  For me, they scared the crap out of me!  They're bright, vibrant, bold!  They speak of the Caribbean, island hopping and cabana boys!!  If you want to SEE this case file for yourself, click HERE.  Scared that you might not have the colors?  That's okay, we provide a link, to all our members, to wonderful digital coordinates that our DT Michele Singh creates exclusively for our site!
For this week's EVIDENCE I used the following:
Wood - I used two collections from MME.  The blue is "On the Bright Side" and the grey I believe is from "Miss Caroline" (I lost my little "tag" once I cut off the little border!)
Liquid Medium - I used Diamond Glaze on the hexagrams for a clear boost, and Stickles for a sparkly boost.  Inspired by Sherry Cheever aka Bad Sherry, I improvised her Ice Resin Faux Porcelain Flowers.  However I don't have any Ice Resin, so I tried using my Diamond Glaze... not quite the same effect but different!

Distressing - Well that was easy.  I used a distressing tool on the edges of my papers, even sanding the finish off my white Thickers and coloring w/ my TH Distress Marker!!, I also inked and used my Tattered Angels Glimmer Mists for that worn look.
Circles & Repetition -  I used circles and dots.  In both my pp and elements.
My Testimony is once again on a hidden tag.  It's in the format of an itinerary.  Listing our "Summer To Do" list.  Summer Mornings: Swim   Summer Afternoon: Read books, relax, swim  Summer Evenings: Summer Treats, Stay up late!

My sketch was inspired by this weeks current sketch challenge over at Sketch Inspirations.  This little site offers weekly prizes to it's participants.  It's a sweet little community where you can play, meet folks and get some inspiration for your layouts.  Check it out and tell Trisha "Hi" for me!  :D  Her current challenge is still open and will end on August 4th.  Plenty of time to play along.   Or like me, combine ours over at CSI with SI!
Thanks for viewing!  As always I love reading your comments... thanks so much for stopping by!
