December in Review

Okay, so it's been a while since I blogged. Okay..AGES...like my friends are doing any better?? I think not! But hey, it's been a fabulously busy "Holiday Season" for all.
First, David is HOME. HOME.. HOME.. did I mention home? So, having a husband home during the day is somewhat of a distraction for me. I'm figuring by the end of January, one of us will die.
I've been croppin' with girlfriends, at Progressive Dinners (see above) with girlfriends, we decorated the tree (and since undecorated the tree) and we've been to High School Muscial Events...one at the High School, the other at the Tabernacle on the Square during gail like winds... "What are they singing?? WHAT?? I can't here them sing? Sorry can't HEAR you or the singers??" But the kids were GREAT!
Taylor headed out to California to spend the holidays with the Somers Family, spending time with his uncle and soon to be aunt, his grandparents and his father. He enjoyed playing in the snow in Lake Arrowhead, was thrilled by the nightlights of the "Living Desert" display in Palm Desert and had a grand time overall. Let's face it, Santa was GOOD.
We, in the meantime, enjoyed a visit from my father. While here, he and I did a whirlwind tour of Okalahoma to visit my grandfather and my aunt & uncle, then shot across Kansas to Winfield to see the Wilson Clan. Within an hour of arriving in Winfield, Dad, James, Chris and I were on the course playing 9 holes of golf. Thank god we played "best of", cuz compared these guys I suck. Then off to see the rest of the clan and had some AWESOME Mexican food (I know, in KANSAS!!). The next day, 18 holes of golf and we all got down and dirty with some NURTZ!!!
Okay, so I have some more blogging to do...tons of pictures to sort thru...all three kids have cameras now...so I'll get some of their post ASAP. So, I'll catch up with you all later...

Winfield! My husband went to college there. I think it was called St. John's. Isn't it closed now? I have to ask him. Anyway, on a trip to Kansas in 1988, we went there to see where the school was and so he could show us around. Us being me, the kids and my parents. We were traveling together. My dad is from Lindsborg and we were visiting family in that area.
