December 19th, Washington D.C., the First Class Petty Officers Association, of VR-53 dedicated a wreath to our fallen sailors during Desert Shield. Since David is a First Class Petty Officer, he took part in the ceremony. He and his shipmates took some pretty impressive pictures, but there's not enough room for them all. Maybe later I'll create a slideshow, but there's alot of labeling to do.
The cool thing is, Dave's mom, Betsy recently sent us a newspaper clipping about another hometown local sailor. Her name is Airman Lucy Davis and she is a member of the U.S. Navy's Ceremonial Guard. She regularly participates in ceremonies in our nations capital. The clipping also included a picture...during a recent ceramony at the exact same location shown above....
Anyway this proud Navy wife just wanted to share.......
