April Showers....

Finally, my beloved Iris's have bloomed! I truely love the iris perhaps because it too connects me to my childhood memories. I remember the bus ride home in the spring, Bob the bus driver would stop the bus and pick iris's for his girlfriend sometimes. We also had iris's planted in the side yard, along with tons of daffodills along the house.
This iris came from my home in Missouri. My mother planted a huge plot of iris in front of the cabin. One year she sent me box of bulbs. So, I planted them in Maine and they seemed to love the climate and soil there. After getting orders, we dug up my bulbs and brought them here to Texas. It took a few years but finally.....
