Oz...

It's official. Erin has been practicing and preparing for the upcoming auditions for the Wizard Of Oz. She and several girlfriends want so much to be a part of this. So last Saturday we headed to the highschool for this life changing event.
Erin was second to audition. She broke down in tears and really began to wig out. I'm having a hard time understanding this, she loves performing and once she's performing she's fine. After words of encouragement and some veiled threats, she went on stange and sang! It was munchkin on speed singing, she was so nervous. I thought to myself, "this isn't good.", but surely other girls will panic too.
After auditions Mrs. Bishop provided more info, checked over a few kids and said we'd all know by Friday. Wednesday we got the call, no she didn't make a munchkin roll, BUT she did make a Flying Monkey part. I thought she'd be really disappointed but she's content and happy with it!
As for Taylor, we thought he was already cast as a "Winkie", the Witches Guard (all we owe, we owe to her), but official auditions haven't happened yet. Taylor is inpartial to whether he's involved or not, but if he wants to, he has our full suport.
Sooooo we're off to see the wizard...

YEAH! In elementary school I got to be Dorothy in our production (certainly not on the same caliber as what you kids are doing - only 3rd graders in my cast!) but I loved it. I think somewhere I still have the dog I carried around as ToTo. There's no place like home!
